The villa, belonging to the same family since the 17th century, is located on the top of a hill facing the walled medieval town. The property is over 250 hectares (about 625 acres), which includes vineyards that produce a wonderful Chianti Classico, olive trees which produce a very tasty extra vergine olive oil , hay fields and woods. The view from the estate includes rolling hills, the old walled town of Monteriggioni, and in the distance, the towers of San Gimignano. The 500 meter unpaved driveway leading to the villa is lined with cypress, and opens to a well preserved Italian garden. The faded elegance of life in Tuscany in the 17th century is apparent throughout the villa, where the Empire bedroom, the dining room, the ballroom, and the Egyptian library are decorated with frescos and original furniture. The friendly and hospitable owners live on the third floor of the Villa (separate entrance), and the guardians live on the property along with other farmers on the estate. The owners' dogs have their own enclosed garden; It takes about 40 minutes to walk through the fields to reach the walled city.
