Surrounded by the green hills of the Pierle valley, only a few miles away from the Etruscan town of Cortona, lies the Country House an ideal place to seek and find tranquillity and peace. The completely restored farm house, which opened in June 2004, overlooks a beautiful valley and is bathed from early morning to evening by warm sunshine. Beside the apartments the adjoining storeroom has been restored and is now used as a breakfast room and is available to guests for their lunches and dinners.The Country House is only 10 miles from Cortona, and is 500 m above sea level and 2 km to Mercatale village.

Its central position is within easy reach of the major cultural locations and natural areas of Tuscany and Umbria., such as Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Rome. Vineyards nearby include the Chianti region, Montalcino and Montepulciano. After their excursions guests can relax in the Country House's own swimming pool (7,5 x 14 m) and enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings.
If you wish to get that something more and want to live the experience of spending your holidays within a wonderful and perfectly groomed park, dipped in a pool offering a stunning view over the whole of the Val di Pierle and its superb castle without having to share this unique situation with no one but your loved-ones you may ideally reserve the whole of the country-house for yourself so as to enjoy your vacation to the fullest in absolute privacy.
Guests may use for convivial moments and gatherings the new Cambusa (the old storeroom). The Cambusa is, thanks to its location right next to the apartments, the ideal place to share breakfasts, lunches, dinners and relaxation moments in the coolness of this charming room. Thanks to its location on a hill and the massive over 60 cm thick bearing walls all rooms are cool in the summer making air-conidtioning unnecessary and keep in the heat during the winter.
