In the tranquil Tuscan countryside, among the green hills of Cortona, is found the small hamlet of San Pietro in Cegliolo and in front of it, in the adjacent hills among the surrounding green woods and olive groves is found this gracious ‘villa among the olive trees'.
The house is situated in a natural terrace from where can be seen all the valley and part of Lake Trasimeno, and the boundary line from Mt. Amiata, Cetona and Montepulciano, can be made out along the horizon.
